Job Title: Peer and Volunteer Mentor Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Peer and Volunteer Mentor Coordinator to lead the strategic development, coordination, and implementation of our Peer Mentoring and Volunteer program.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with vulnerable adults and a good understanding of the voluntary sector. They will be responsible for providing guidance and facilitating specific training to volunteers and peer mentors to meet the needs and required standard.

The successful candidate will also support development opportunities for volunteer and peer mentors, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to fulfill their role. Additionally, they will provide supervision, challenge, and contribute to risk management, ensuring volunteers and peer mentors are fully aware of and understand the risks inherent in working with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive mentorship program to support vulnerable adults
  • Provide training and guidance to volunteers and peer mentors to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Support the development of volunteer and peer mentors, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to fulfill their role
  • Contribute to risk management and ensure volunteers and peer mentors are aware of and understand the risks inherent in working with complex needs
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of IT, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and databases to provide management information and case tracking
