About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our Children's Residential Services team. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people who have experienced significant trauma.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for each child.
  • Build positive relationships with children and young people, using a trauma-informed approach to support their emotional regulation and attachment needs.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of activities, including cultural, physical, play, and recreational activities, to promote social, emotional, and behavioral development.
  • Monitor and record the care and treatment of children and young people, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the service, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ 4 or QCF diploma in working with children and young people in residential care, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Ability to work towards or hold the recognized HSC 375 medication or equivalent.
  • Desire to undertake further education or training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Valid and full UK driving license.
  • Legal right to live and work in the UK.
