Key Responsibilities- Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery, providing individualized support to students as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere, fostering student development and addressing individual learning needs.
- Support students with reading, writing, and SPAG skills, adjusting activities to promote participation and understanding.
- Develop a supportive relationship with students, promoting self-esteem and confidence.
- Liaise with teachers and SENCO to develop and implement support plans for students with specific needs.
- Provide whole-class, small-group, and one-to-one support, monitoring and maintaining records of student progress.
- Assist with general school duties, including setting up classrooms, preparing resources, and supervising students during lunchtimes.
- Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviors.
- Have the ability to engage with and build rapport with students.
- Be creative, proactive, and flexible in your supporting style.
- Have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or knowledge of learning difficulties.
- Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification.
