Play Specialist Opportunity at The Portland Hospital

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Play Specialist to join our Outpatient team at The Portland Hospital, a leading provider of healthcare services in London.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing therapeutic play services to children and young people in hospital, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct therapeutic assessments and devise play programs for children and young people
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of play interventions
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery

Requirements:

  • Foundation Degree in Healthcare Play Specialism or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children/young people in a hospital environment
  • Knowledge of current best evidence-based practice of therapeutic play for ages 0-17
  • Registered with HPSET
