Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Leeds Bradford Airport. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing assets within the terminal and outlying properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair piping systems and fixtures related to heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation within the airport terminal and surrounding properties.
  • Compliance and Inspection: Inspect drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.
  • Planned Maintenance: Conduct inspections and planned maintenance of systems in line with manufacturer's guidelines and compliance requirements.
  • Reactive Maintenance: Participate in a range of other planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including simple electrical works, joinery, upkeep of baggage handling systems, and general building repairs/maintenance.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Update and maintain equipment maintenance documentation and logs, produce fault reports, and record events in accordance with data capture requirements.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure, supporting the Engineering Department as needed.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Time-served Plumber with relevant certification.
  • Experience: Proven experience in maintenance and repair of assets within a similar environment.
  • Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a 3 on 3 off shift pattern, including occasional on-call duties and flexibility to cover annual leave.
