We are collaborating with a leading biotechnology firm in the EU that is dedicated to advancing innovative treatments in the field of Oncology. Their goal is to improve patient outcomes through groundbreaking research and clinical trials, particularly focusing on First-in-Human (FIH) studies. They are in search of a highly qualified and committed Chief Medical Officer to join their organization on a part-time, remote basis. The CMO will be instrumental in steering our clinical development initiatives with an emphasis on various cancer types. This role necessitates an oncologist with extensive experience in executing FIH trials. The CMO will deliver strategic medical and scientific guidance, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of clinical practice and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the clinical development strategy for oncology programs, concentrating on FIH trials.
- Supervise the design, execution, and management of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Provide medical and scientific insights to interdisciplinary teams, including research, regulatory, and commercial sectors.
- Act as the primary medical liaison in discussions with regulatory bodies, key opinion leaders, and clinical researchers.
- Guarantee the safety and welfare of trial participants through comprehensive monitoring and assessment of clinical data.
- Contribute to the formulation of clinical trial protocols, informed consent documents, and other regulatory submissions.
- Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to propel clinical research initiatives and foster innovation.
- Remain informed about the latest developments in oncology to guide and shape clinical strategies.
- MD or equivalent medical qualification with board certification in Oncology.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and conducting FIH trials.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and guidelines pertaining to clinical trials and drug development.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work autonomously and efficiently in a remote environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
