UNISON's East Midlands Region is seeking a skilled and experienced administrative professional to join our Regional Secretary's Organising Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative support to the Regional Secretary and other team members.
Key responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Regional Secretary and other team members, including preparing reports, managing databases, and coordinating meetings.
- Process membership applications and maintain accurate records of member data.
- Assist with financial tasks, including budgeting, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with branch officials, regional staff, and other stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve regional objectives and support the delivery of UNISON's membership and organising strategy.
Requirements
- Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably in a trade union or similar environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
