Job Title: Warehouse Driver/Operative

Wincanton is seeking an experienced Warehouse Driver/Operative to join our team at our Hinkley Logistics Hub in Bridgwater. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of a contract where we are providing warehousing and transport services for equipment being delivered for the construction of Hinkley Point.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Warehouse Driver/Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely driving items to and from the HPC site in a van, loading and unloading the van, and assisting with warehouse operations. This is a shift pattern role, working Monday to Friday, with a focus on delivering high-quality service and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) in safety, quality, performance, and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely drive items to and from the HPC site in a van
  • Load and unload the van
  • Assist with warehouse operations, including MHE driving and delivery
  • Contribute to a Zero Harm culture and demonstrate a safety-first mindset
  • Deliver high personal standards to achieve KPIs in safety, quality, performance, and service
Requirements:
  • Experience of working within a warehouse environment
  • Full clean driving license
  • Excellent communication skills combined with logical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make recommendations for improvement
  • Enthusiastic, committed, and able to respond positively to changing demands
