Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical aspects of diverse offshore cable initiatives.
- Engineer and design submarine cable infrastructures, encompassing route determination, cable selection, specifications, and installation techniques.
- Perform feasibility assessments, including cable load evaluations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to create optimal cable designs that fulfill project specifications.
- Determine suitable cable types, assess routing and burial requirements, and conduct risk evaluations while calculating cable ratings.
- Oversee the design development of array cables, optimizing both array and export cables.
- Engage actively in industry working groups such as CIGRE and IEEE.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, ideally in Electrical or Power Engineering.
- Previous experience in offshore cable engineering, marine renewable energy, or the oil and gas sector is highly advantageous.
- Experience with HVDC projects, both onshore and offshore, including HV cable system design and ratings (CYMCAP) is desirable.
- Strong understanding of submarine cable systems, including design, installation practices, and industry regulations.
- Familiarity with offshore design development, marine construction projects, and subsea infrastructure design.
- Chartered Engineer status attained or in progress.
- Willingness to travel as project demands require.
