Job Title: Banking Paralegal Team Leader

Fqps is seeking a highly skilled Banking Paralegal Team Leader to join their team in Central Bristol. As a key member of the Operations team, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a small team of Legal Administrators, ensuring effective collaboration, task performance, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Line management of up to 10 Legal Administrators, including performance management, career development, discipline, and welfare support with HR.
  • Actively manage work levels, quality, and resources to ensure efficient delivery of tasks.
  • Monitor and supervise the quality and completion of tasks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Actively monitor Section MI, identifying patterns and trends to inform business decisions.
  • Holding regular team meetings to ensure the team is kept updated and informed.
  • Support the Operations Manager in developing talent within the team by identifying individual potential and providing coaching and mentoring.
  • Support team members in achieving agreed objectives through delegation, coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Support the Operations Manager with the training and induction of new starters.
  • Take ownership of knowledge management and query log, escalating any queries that require further review.
Requirements:
  • Legal experience preferred, with some experience of supervising or training.
  • The ability to understand and apply different task processes.
  • Experience with Legal or banking case management systems (not essential).
  • Experience working in a paralegal role, ideally in real estate or conveyancing or a litigation department (not essential).

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm, 12-month contract.

Salary:

Up to £32,000 per annum.
