About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Handy Person to join our team at Home Group. As a Handy Person, you will be responsible for providing practical support to our customers and colleagues, ensuring that our properties and grounds are well-maintained and safe.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out minor and emergency repairs and re-decoration as needed.
- Performing tasks such as hanging curtain poles, moving furniture, touching up paints, changing tap washers, unblocking sinks, and clearing properties.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and customers throughout the day.
- Liaising with our housing management coordinator to report repairs outside of your remit.
- Assisting with building and assembling flat pack furniture.
About You
We are looking for a team player with a can-do attitude and enthusiasm. You should be multi-skilled with general maintenance skills, including carpentry, basic plumbing, and the ability to wield a broom or paintbrush. You should also be comfortable working and communicating with people from all walks of life.
