Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Speedy Hire. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our generators and compressors, ranging from 10kVA to 500kVA. You will travel to customer sites, carry out planned service maintenance, and diagnose mechanical failures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer sites and perform planned service maintenance on generators and compressors
  • Diagnose mechanical failures and effect repairs
  • Liaise with external departments and customers
  • Service, fault-find, and carry out breakdown repairs
  • Comply with company Health and Safety policy
Requirements
  • Full driving license
  • Good knowledge of diesel engines
  • Mechanical experience in fault-finding, replacing parts, and effecting repairs
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing similar types of equipment
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work alone under pressure and as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to hours, with consistent overtime
