Job Description

Driver Hire Uxbridge is currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to work with our customers in the UB postcode area.

Job Details
  • Job Type: Temporary, Ad Hoc Basis
  • Shifts: A to B drops in and around M25, multi-drop (up to 3 drops), Movies/TV and Events, Builders merchants and Scaffolding, Insulation & Dry Lining
  • Shift Schedule: Mainly during the week - Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)
Requirements
  • Valid Manual UK Driving Licence: CAT C+E for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN or MS90 endorsements)
  • Valid CPC and TACHO: Required
  • Age: Over 25 years - for insurance purposes
  • Experience: At least 1 year HGV Class 1 driving experience (references required)
  • Driving Experience: More than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C) in the past 12 months
  • Physical Fitness: Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Regulations and Safety: Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
Pay and Benefits
  • Pay Rate: £19.00 to £22.00 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)
  • Overtime: Paid after 9 hours (breaks are not paid)
  • Benefits: Auto-enrolment pension after 3 months, Weekly pay, On-going position for the right candidates
