Key Responsibilities:- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to foster positive student behaviour.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group interventions to address behavioural challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
- Assist students with academic tasks and offer additional support as needed.
- Work closely with teachers to adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual student needs.
- Monitor and record student progress, collaborating with the teaching team to address learning gaps.
- Build positive relationships with students to promote emotional well-being.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for students to express themselves in.
- Recognise and respond to the social and emotional needs of students.
- Liaise with pastoral and safeguarding teams to address bullying concerns or negative behaviours.
- Log all safeguarding concerns accurately and securely for reporting and actioning.
- Collaborate with outside agencies such as the police, local authorities, and care teams when necessary.
- Prior experience preferred but open to individuals with transferable skills from roles such as Youth Work, Family Support Worker, and Children's Residential Support Worker.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting academic and emotional development.
