Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Introduction Specialist to join our team at Life Sciences Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for coordinating the introduction of new products into our manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Research and Development, Operations, and Procurement, to ensure a seamless and cost-effective product introduction.
- Identify and implement process improvements for new products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and oversee new manufacturing processes, ensuring a successful transition and minimal disruption to production.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure product and process quality.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing downtime.
- Develop and maintain project timelines and costings for production, ensuring accurate forecasting and budgeting.
- Assess tooling requirements and order necessary equipment to support new product launches.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a similar role, with a background in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Relevant qualifications, such as an apprenticeship or degree in a related field.
- Knowledge or experience working with medical devices, assistive furniture, or postural support products is desirable, as is familiarity with medical device regulations.
- Experience with production process improvement, focusing on efficiency, material utilization, time, cost, quality, and compliance.
- Knowledge of various materials, such as wood, sheet plastic, fabric, and sheet cardboard, is an asset.
