We present a unique opportunity for a Static Equipment Engineer to contribute to a significant net-zero initiative. This role will focus on delivering engineering excellence within a designated project scope, adhering to established procedures, specifications, and standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Offer technical expertise and guidance related to Static Equipment, particularly in compressors and pump systems for CO2 / CCS applications.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing discipline activities and deliverables, including estimating manhours and preparing schedules for bidding purposes.
  • Develop, specify, and maintain data sheets for Static Equipment to facilitate procurement.
  • Compile Requests for Quotations (RFQs) complete with specifications, scopes, and data sheets.
  • Engage with suppliers through site visits for kick-off meetings, equipment testing, and clarification discussions.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines throughout all phases of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up to ensure cohesive engineering design.
  • Ensure that Static design deliverables comply with all relevant engineering codes and standards, as well as the Client's policies.
  • Contribute to the creation of Technical Work Practices (TWP's) and Standards.
  • Participate in weekly internal and external progress meetings, generating status reports for the Engineering / Project Manager.
  • Define the scope of work for third-party subcontractors as necessary.
  • Prepare evaluations for Tender Bids and assess incoming bids.
  • Provide input for the EPC scope of work and EPC Tender Static for the EXECUTE phase.
  • Ensure adherence to management of change processes, both technical and financial.
  • Offer direction and guidance on technical inquiries related to mechanical engineering and address any deviations appropriately.
  • Engage in all project safety and design reviews as required.
  • Take responsibility for Risk Identification, Assessment, Mitigation, Monitoring, and Closure within your discipline.
QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.

Extensive experience in the Oil and Gas sector is essential.

A comprehensive understanding of major mechanical equipment types is necessary.

In-depth knowledge of relevant international codes and standards is expected.
