Job Title: CDM / Health and Safety Advisor - House Building North Thames
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDM / Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at DM Safety and Health Services Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing health and safety support to our clients in the house building sector across the North Thames region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out site inspections and site support visits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide technical and health and safety support to site management teams.
- Undertake targeted monthly checks to identify and mitigate potential health and safety risks.
- Attend monthly meetings with clients and site management teams to discuss health and safety performance.
- Support the client's regional HSE advisor in the delivery of health and safety services.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Carry out external PC / client inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Deliver in-house training to operatives and management teams on health and safety best practices.
Requirements:
- UK-based construction / house building experience.
- NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate.
- 5 years' experience in a similar role (desirable).
- Available to start immediately.
- UK driving license.
Personal Qualities:
- Desire to drive continuous improvement of health and safety on site.
- Ability to interact with workforce and management alike.
- Ability to produce detailed, informative reports in a timely manner.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to manage diary efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
- Willingness to travel (some occasional overnight stays may be required).
