Job Summary:

Hooray Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill a Student Mentor position in the education sector. As a Student Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of students aged 16 to 18.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development sessions for learners, utilizing pre-planned material to facilitate their growth and progress.
  • Provide in-depth pastoral and wellbeing support to students, addressing their individual needs and challenges.
  • Work with students on a group and one-to-one basis, ensuring they make progress against their learning plans.
  • Offer guidance and support to students on managing their wellbeing and overcoming challenges within the educational environment.

Requirements:

  • Considerable experience working with 16 to 18-year-old students in an educational setting.
  • Proven ability to hold student development sessions during PSHE, utilizing effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of pastoral and wellbeing support, with the ability to adapt to individual student needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
