About the Position

We are currently seeking a Welfare Support Coordinator to enhance our service delivery for individuals and families under a specialized government initiative. This role is integral to the Afghanistan Resettlement Associated Project Transit sites team, reporting directly to the Transit Welfare Operations Manager.

The Welfare Support Coordinator will be responsible for providing essential support and executing specific tasks throughout various phases of the process. This includes offering administrative assistance to Managers and Welfare Support Officers to ensure that business objectives and timelines are achieved. Maintaining accurate and updated records for auditing purposes is crucial.

Your responsibilities will encompass planning, monitoring, and executing welfare support interventions and requests from Service Users, many of whom may be in vulnerable situations. Collaborating closely with the Transit sites team is essential to ensure the safe and timely transportation of users. A strong emphasis on safeguarding and enhancing the Service User experience is a fundamental aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient use of databases and expertise in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with familiarity with Customer Relationship Management systems.
  • Customer-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities and a positive, proactive approach.
  • Planning, organizing, and coordinating onsite vocational and recreational activities, as well as managing workload effectively.
  • Professional engagement with a diverse range of clients.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Exhibit qualities of supportiveness, trustworthiness, active listening, approachability, and empathy towards others.
