About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in a not-for-profit organisation near Wells. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assisting with various financial operations, including sales and purchase ledgers, and supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and code invoices
  • Prepare payment runs
  • Update and maintain spreadsheets
  • Process expenses
  • Bank account reconciliation
  • Assist in monthly management account preparation
  • Journal posting
  • Assist in yearly budget preparation
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in a similar position and be able to work well in a team as well as independently. AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
