Job Overview

Position: Lead Fire and Security Technician

Work Area: South West London

Company Overview: A well-respected Fire and Security firm specializing in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of Fire Alarm systems, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm solutions.

Compensation Package:

  • Basic salary ranging from £34,000 to £45,000 (dependent on experience)
  • On-target earnings exceeding £50,000
  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing by one day every five years, compensated at an average rate including overtime)
  • Travel time compensated after 30 minutes each way
  • Call-out payments from door to door (optional participation in call-out required)

  • Quarterly bonuses based on average overtime worked

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, install, and commission Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, Access Control systems, CCTV, and Emergency Lighting
  • Participate in the call-out rota, currently set at one week in nine
  • Work independently with confidence
  • Ensure compliance with British standards during all work
  • Report to management and complete necessary documentation

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in the Fire and Security sector, focusing on servicing, installing, and commissioning Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, and Emergency Lighting
  • Familiarity with control panels such as Morley, Gent, Notifier, Galaxy, Texecom, Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Paxton, ACT, and Grosvenor
  • Electrical qualifications such as the 18th Edition are preferred
  • FIA units are advantageous
  • Valid UK driving license with no points preferred
  • ECS and CSCS cards are desirable
