M Group Services is seeking a highly skilled Planning Manager to join our team in delivering the Yorkshire Water Smart Metering programme. As a key member of our planning and scheduling team, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team to deliver end-to-end planning and scheduling services for the installation of 1.3 million smart meters.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Planning and Scheduling Team: Manage a high-performing planning and scheduling team to deliver efficient and effective planning and scheduling services.
- Collaborate with Client: Work closely with Yorkshire Water to ensure that planning and scheduling activities are completed compliantly and within contract SLAs.
- Optimize Performance: Manage team performance to optimize delivery, customer experience, and commercial objectives.
- Implement Best Practices: Embed a customer-focused mindset and implement best practices in planning and scheduling.
- Manage Service Delivery: Oversee service delivery performance, including cost of failure, and ensure delivery targets are met.
- Share Best Practices: Share best practices with colleagues and clients through regular liaison meetings.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure all works are planned with a continued focus on supply interruptions and DG3 targets.
- Deliver KPI Performance Measures: Deliver Yorkshire Water's KPI performance measures.
- Manage Operational Resource: Ensure that all operational resource has an achievable and commercially viable workload planned every day.
- Assist in Delivery: Assist in the delivery of all planned work with close liaison with operational colleagues.
- Ensure Compliance with Legislation: Ensure that NRSWA legislation and requirements are followed within your team.
- Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in a planning and scheduling role, with the ability to build and motivate a high-performing team.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the water industry, with a strong understanding of planning and scheduling processes.
- System and Process Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of SAP, ICE, Street Manager, Advantex, and Power BI.
- Senior Management Experience: Previous senior management experience in utility contracting or a similar environment.
- Commercial Awareness: Good understanding of commercial and strategic awareness.
- Decision-Making Skills: Ability to make decisive decisions and work effectively under pressure.
- Customer Focus: Strong customer focus and ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and influencing skills to effectively manage client stakeholders.
