We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Performance Group at Haas F1 Team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous delivery of in-house software as per our department's development plan.
Key Responsibilities- Foster a collaborative team environment and maintain efficient communication with all team members and departments.
- Utilize various.Net technologies to create and provide contemporary database, service layer, and client application solutions for the Performance Group.
- Engage in code reviews with other software team members to ensure high-quality code.
- Seek clarity when needed to ensure accurate understanding of project requirements.
- Collaborate with fellow software engineers to ensure project delivery and meet deadlines.
- Integrate with third-party vendors when necessary to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain clear and simple code for durability and future upkeep.
- Stay updated on new techniques, learning new languages and tools as needed to stay ahead in the industry.
- Provide race support on a rotational basis, working closely with the team to ensure successful event execution.
- Comply with all engineering and broader business processes to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Adhere to safety regulations across all venues to ensure a safe working environment.
- Undertake any assigned responsibilities and duties from the Head of Software Engineering or their representative.
- Minimum requirement of a BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar field showcasing knowledge of algorithms, data structures, databases, and object-oriented programming.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Solid academic foundation in modern software engineering practices to deliver high-quality work.
- Ability to deliver consistently high-quality work in stressful situations while managing workload efficiently.
- Team player capable of collaborating with individuals at all levels to achieve project goals.
- Develop comprehensive solutions from database to end-user application using various software development tools and technologies.
- Familiarity with C#, JavaScript, Python, and HTML is advantageous, but not required.
The role demands the ability to work and prioritize effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive settings while maintaining a systematic approach. Travel, including internationally, may be required, and the willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, is necessary.
The position may involve lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, squatting, and manual dexterity. It is a fast-paced environment with intense mental demands, including exposure to machinery, race cars, and other potentially hazardous elements. Adherence to the Company's Health and Safety Policy and relevant legislation is mandatory for all employees.
