Position Overview

The Lead Financial Analyst (EMEA) is primarily accountable for the comprehensive Trial Balances for various European entities overseen by the Maidenhead-based EMEA Finance Shared Service Centre. This role entails the monthly oversight of accounts within the region, along with reporting, tax compliance, and the formulation of annual financial statements and audits, among other duties.

This position collaborates closely with fellow EMEA Financial Analysts, Accounting Managers, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Tax departments to ensure that Dynatrace's financial records are precise and adhere to both US and local GAAP standards.

This is a hybrid role, requiring candidates to be able to commute to the Maidenhead office two days a week (Tuesday and Thursday).

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts in accordance with US-GAAP, including necessary accruals and prepayments journals.
  • Collaboration with all members of the Shared Services Centre in the UK to ensure accuracy and comprehension of financial data.
  • Management reporting aligned with corporate deadlines, including the generation of notes and commentaries.
  • Thorough understanding and monthly reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts to guarantee accurate recording, including payroll-related accounts (commissions, bonuses, shares, ESPP, and associated taxes).
  • Preparation of monthly local reports, including statistics and tax compliance.
  • Timely preparation and submission of all VAT returns.
  • Execution of regular SOX controls for Accounts Payable and Payroll transactions.
  • Weekly bank reconciliations for multiple entities.
  • Completion of annual financial statements, audits, and tax calculations in collaboration with local advisors and corporate auditors.
  • Ensuring legal compliance regarding filings and statutory reports.
  • Collaboration with Accounts Payable to resolve vendor payment inquiries.
  • Development of monthly cash flow forecasts.
  • Assistance in the preparation of quarterly and yearly tax packages.
  • Coordination with the EMEA Tax team to manage local tax audits.
  • Business partnering to enhance knowledge for more accurate monthly reporting and forecasting.
  • Participation in ongoing process improvement and standardization initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Essential experience in multi-country and multi-currency environments.
  • Experience in the technology sector and/or fast-paced industries is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, deadline-driven, and a self-starter.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • A highly motivated individual capable of engaging others.
  • A strong work ethic complemented by proven analytical skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with the Blackline reconciliation system is a plus.
