Position Title: Information Assurance Engineer

Location: Remote, UK

Overview:
Leidos Innovations UK Limited is on the lookout for a skilled Information Assurance Engineer to contribute to various customer initiatives within the Logistics, Civil, and National Security sectors. This role demands a proactive individual who can seamlessly integrate into a high-performing team, ensuring that security measures are implemented effectively and discreetly for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver robust assurance solutions for sensitive programs.
- Engage with third-party stakeholders and customers to facilitate ongoing project growth and onboarding processes.
- Adapt to diverse daily tasks while maintaining flexible operational parameters in an agile environment.
- Contribute to the development of NIST-compliant risk assessment methodologies and tools to enhance service quality and customer trust.
- Mentor junior team members and support their career development within the cybersecurity domain.

Essential Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of the IT systems engineering lifecycle and its associated processes, including requirements management and testing.
- Familiarity with various methodologies (e.g., waterfall, Agile, DevOps) and their application in managing IT Health Checks.
- Proven experience in risk management, particularly in securing sensitive systems and maintaining accreditation.
- Background in continuous assurance practices for information security management systems, such as NIST and ISO standards.
- Expertise in developing and managing a Cyber Incident Response capability.

Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of network protection technologies and principles of Protective Monitoring systems.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization technologies and their deployment.
- Familiarity with encryption protocols and the effectiveness of penetration testing.

Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of producing reports tailored to specific audiences.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of project management disciplines.

Candidate Requirements:
- Must hold British nationality and possess DV clearance.
- Willingness to undergo additional personnel security clearances as required.
