Job Summary:

Venn Group is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Engagement Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective engagement strategies to communicate with key stakeholders in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Engagement Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive engagement plans to effectively communicate with key stakeholders, including government officials, transport companies, and other relevant organizations.
  • Liaise with Internal and External Partners: Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment of communication strategies and objectives.
  • Communications Planning: Craft and execute communication plans that meet the needs of our stakeholders, supporting and enhancing the reputation of our clients.
  • Messaging and Content Development: Lead the development of messaging and content that supports the objectives of our clients and enhances their reputation.
  • Relationship Building: Foster relationships with communications staff in partner organizations.
  • Initiative Coordination: Coordinate or support joint initiatives and ensure consistent messaging and collaboration across different platforms and audiences.
  • Strategy Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, adjusting as necessary to improve outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Senior Communications Experience: Proven experience in a senior communications role, with a focus on stakeholder engagement in a complex political or technical environment.
  • Knowledge of the Economic Landscape: Knowledge of the economic and business landscape of the region is important.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategies that drive engagement.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Government Sector Experience: Experience working with or within government, transport, or related sectors is highly desirable.
