We are collaborating with a distinguished Local Authority seeking a Legal Advisor specializing in Planning and Highways to enhance their dynamic team on a temporary basis.
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 6 months' experience in:
- Legal matters pertaining to planning and highways within a local government context
Key responsibilities will encompass:
- Overseeing a portfolio of highways agreements, including S.106 and associated conditions
- Drafting both physical and digital legal documentation
- Providing support to the legal professionals within the department
- Offering advice, drafting, and issuing enforcement notices along with other remedies for violations of planning regulations
Compensation is set between £20-25 per hour.
The council promotes a flexible working atmosphere. This is a full-time role.
The local authority is eager to find a candidate who can commence promptly. Given the pressing nature of the position, we are interested in candidates who can be available within a two-week notice period. Previous experience in planning law is crucial.
