BBSRC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our international portfolio and develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead collaborative projects to develop BBSRC's international portfolio and manage strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the UK and overseas.
- Liaise with colleagues across BBSRC and the wider science community to provide evidence and analysis for BBSRC international activities.
- Prepare BBSRC international missions to key strategic overseas partners and produce briefing materials on BBSRC International activity.
- Ensure BBSRC strategic objectives are reflected in future and planned international programmes.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills to plan and prioritise own work area and the work of others.
- Excellent analytical and writing skills, including the ability to present complex information concisely and accurately under tight deadlines.
- Strong liaison, networking, diplomacy and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel in the UK and abroad, including occasional overnight absences.
The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) invests in world-class bioscience research and training on behalf of the UK public. Our aim is to further scientific knowledge, promote economic growth, and improve quality of life in the UK and beyond.
