About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Grid Engineer to join our team at AVA Energy. As a key member of our Grid Infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of utility-scale ground-mount solar and battery storage projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on grid connection progress and performance.
  • Run electrical power system studies using PSSE, Power Factory or similar power system software.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), Transmission Network Operators (TNOs), Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) companies, and other 3rd party advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with the G99 process, Grid Code, CUSC, and other distribution and transmission policies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering, preferably electrical engineering, but other disciplines accepted.
  • Strong understanding of electrical power systems and grid infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
