About the Role:
Hunter Selection is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their well-established maintenance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the company's manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct fault-finding and maintenance support on a range of equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Lead all preventative maintenance activities, including capital expenditure projects and PPM (Predictive Maintenance) initiatives.
- Act as the technical specialist on site, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies.
Requirements:
- HNC Level or equivalent (Apprenticeship) in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- A proactive attitude, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results and continuous improvement.
