Cobham, Surrey, United Kingdom Bupa Full time
Activity Coordinator

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team at Bupa. As the chief fun officer, you will be responsible for creating a vibrant and joy-filled atmosphere for our residents.

Your role will involve planning and delivering a range of activities and events that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents. This may include arts and crafts, baking, book clubs, and even pub quizzes.

You will work closely with our residents and care teams to create tailored activity plans that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical activity. Your goal will be to enhance the overall well-being and quality of life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver morning and afternoon activity sessions
  • Produce and update an activity planner for the home, working to a set activities budget
  • Organise birthday surprises for our residents
  • Liaise with external companies and performers from the local community to organise days out/events at the home
  • Organise one-to-one sessions with residents, using reminiscence tools, puzzles, reading, or simply enjoying a cup of tea and a chat
  • Support the home with their social media channels as required
Requirements:

We are looking for a creative thinker with a passion for making a difference in the lives of others. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, care teams, and external partners.

You will need to be able to manage budgets and maintain paperwork, prioritising tasks as they arise. A sense of humour and infectious enthusiasm for making people's lives better are essential.

Benefits:

We offer a range of benefits to support your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing. These include access to our global wellbeing programme, Viva, which includes all aspects of our health – from mental and physical, to financial, social, and environmental wellbeing.

We also offer flexible working, a range of family-friendly benefits, and a competitive salary and benefits package.
