About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our gastroenterology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist gastroenterology care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of gastrointestinal disorders
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff members
Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Registration with the General Medical Council
  • Experience in gastroenterology, with a strong background in clinical nutrition and inflammatory bowel disease
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
