About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our Technology, Data and Software Development (TDSD) teams at JBA Consulting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing cutting-edge software solutions using a mixture of commercial and open-source software, and will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including mobile and browser-based asset management systems, business information systems, and high-performance GIS and data management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test software solutions using C#.NET and other relevant technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our software development processes
  • Mentor and coach less experienced developers
  • Take on line management duties and contribute to the growth and development of our TDSD teams
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven commercial experience in C#.NET web-based application development
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Experience with HTML5, JavaScript, and frameworks such as SASS/CSS
  • API development and interfacing with third-party APIs
  • Hangfire background services
  • GIS technologies such as QGIS, ArcGIS, and FME
  • Containers and cloud hosting using Amazon Web Services
  • Agile principles and methodologies
  • Source control and process management
