Learning Mentor Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentor to join our team at Academics. As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students' social, emotional, and mental health within a school setting.

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with students to develop coping mechanisms and de-escalation techniques, creating a personalized toolbox to help them manage their emotions and behaviors. You will also be responsible for supporting students' education and learning, as well as their socialization and emotional regulation both inside and outside the classroom.

To be successful in this role, you must be resilient, patient, and understanding, with a strong ability to build rapport with students. You will also need to have a good understanding of safeguarding procedures and be able to report any concerns appropriately.

We offer a competitive salary of £450-£500 per week for a full-time permanent position, with part-time hours also considered for the right candidate. Additionally, you will have access to excellent progression and training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support students' social, emotional, and mental health within a school setting
  2. Develop and implement coping mechanisms and de-escalation techniques with students
  3. Support students' education and learning, socialization, and emotional regulation
  4. Report any concerns or incidents to the relevant authorities
