About the Role

Job Overview

As a HGV Class I Driver with T. J. Morris Limited, you will be responsible for driving vehicles with due care and attention, adhering to traffic law, company policy, and procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

* Drive vehicles with due care and attention and a respect for traffic law, company policy, and procedure
* Fully comply with driver hours and regulations
* Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard in line with health and safety, legal requirements, and company process
* Carefully load and unload cages at store with regard to personal safety as instructed in the company health and safety manual
* Carry out regular and thorough vehicle checks
* Responsible to ensure that deliveries are made on time and at the right place, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately

Package Description

* Day shift - £43,267 per annum
* Night shift - £51,458 per annum (£43,267 base salary plus £8,191 night shift premium)
* 5 on 3 off shift pattern working an average 44 hours per week
* 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year including bank and public holiday allowance rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years' service

Minimum Criteria to Apply

* Valid C+E Driving Licence
* Current and fully completed Driver Certificate of Professional Competence card (DCPC) is essential
* Minimum 25 years of age with a minimum of 12 months' experience in a C+E role for insurance purposes
* Understanding and working knowledge of WTR; EU driver hours and working time rules
* Task orientated approach
* Health and safety awareness
* Pass internal driver assessment
* Minimal infringements
