Electrical Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B male prison. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Electricians and General Maintenance staff, taking operational responsibility for the Electrical service delivery on the site.
  • Coordinate and direct third-party contractors and employees to ensure smooth and safe operation of the prison.
  • Manage and maintain electrical systems, including commercial or industrial electrical or building service systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and risk management practices.
  • Develop and implement plans and projects to improve electrical services and infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of five years' experience as an Electrician, ideally within an FM environment and/or secure environment, military, health or similar sectors.
  • Qualifications equivalent to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge and excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
  • A rounded knowledge of risk and compliance and demonstrable planning & project management skills.
