The Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to develop portfolios that effectively hedge risks in UK pension scheme liabilities, generate cashflows to meet client requirements, increase investment returns, or hedge risks in other assets held.
  • Analyze UK pension scheme liabilities and comprehend/quantify the associated risks, including UK DB Pension Liability Driven Investment (LDI) work.
  • Review and guide the work produced by junior members of the Portfolio Management Team to ensure timely and high-quality output.
  • Compose high-quality papers recommending/justifying changes to client portfolios.
  • Expand knowledge of UK pension schemes, fixed-income assets, and derivative markets to work independently and present papers/ideas to clients and internally.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has a deep understanding of UK pension schemes, fixed-income assets, and derivative markets.
  • Can work independently and present complex ideas to clients and internally.
  • Is able to analyze and quantify risks associated with UK pension scheme liabilities.
  • Has excellent communication and collaboration skills.
