About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurodevelopmental Specialist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical services to children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including psychiatric and physical investigations, to diagnose and develop treatment plans for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with other specialists, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver individualized treatment plans and ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in neurodevelopmental care to provide evidence-based treatment and care.

Requirements

  • 12 years of post-qualification experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with significant experience in neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
