About the Role
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transactional Finance Manager to join our team at Inspired Pet Nutrition. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a challenging role that will require strong leadership and financial management skills.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our Transactional Finance Shared Services Centre, focusing on customer service, timeliness, accuracy, cash flow management, system and process development, and KPI reporting. They will also be responsible for integrating new business acquisitions into the Transactional Finance shared services function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Accounts Receivable Ledger, ensuring overdue debt is minimized, deductions are cleared, cash collection is maximized, and the ledger is clean.
- Manage the Accounts Payable Ledger, ensuring timely processing of invoices, query resolution, and supplier payments. Minimize supplier holds and debit balances.
- Manage and develop the Transactional Services team, optimize performance, succession plan, ensure process notes and cross-training.
- Drive automation and technological development of the Transactional Shared Service function aligned to a roadmap agreed with the Director of Finance, Governance, and Control.
- Develop and roll out a cash collection and credit management cycle.
- Support system upgrades and successful roll-outs across the team.
- Support the site teams and management accountants by delivering an accurate, accelerated close timetable. Liaise with external auditors to support the year-end audit.
- Plan and execution of Transactional Finance integration into the Shared Service function.
Requirements
- AAT qualification or demonstration of financial admin experience preferable but not essential.
- Experience of working as a shared services manager or manager within an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function desirable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent planning and organizing in a fast-paced finance environment.
- Demonstrable stakeholder management deliver a service.
- Attention to detail and processes with accuracy, but able to see the high-level view.
- Positive approach to work and problem-solving.
- Leadership experience.
- Good Excel skills.
