Yard Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Yard Operative to join our team at Cormac & Co Recruitment Ltd. As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our yard, including loading and unloading heavy goods vehicles, stock control, and packing/wrapping/palletisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading heavy goods vehicles
  • Stock control and management
  • Packing, wrapping, and palletisation of goods
  • Adapting to other areas of the business as needed
  • Liaising with other departments and teams
Requirements:
  • Previous yard experience essential
  • Applicable forklift experience and licenses (transferable)
  • Experience in loading and unloading heavy goods vehicles
  • Stock control experience
  • Packing, wrapping, and palletisation experience
Working Hours and Pay:

39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a competitive hourly rate of £11.44.
