FINTEC recruit Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Welding Engineer to join our team in the Highland region. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality welding standards are met in our fabrication operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain welding procedure specifications, qualifications, and records
• Review and endorse welding consumable test certification and welding procedure qualification documentation
• Ensure compliance with company management procedures and industry standards
• Continuously review and improve welding techniques and procedures
• Manage project welding procedure qualification activities and maintain weld procedure registers
• Monitor production welding activities and troubleshoot any issues
• Evaluate causes of welding failures and implement corrective actions
• Participate in regular operations and safety meetings
• Develop and maintain risk assessments for welding operations

Requirements:

• HNC in Fabrication, Welding, and Inspection or equivalent
• Knowledge of automatic and/or manual welding of pipelines, welding engineering, or metallurgical experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience in welding engineering in a fabrication environment
• Working knowledge of various NDE techniques
• Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in welding engineering
