This 41-bedded unit, encompassing both rapid assessment and high dependency beds, provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions, from acute to chronic, and those undergoing various cardiac procedures.
As a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will encompass assisting registered nursing staff in providing essential care needs for patients, ensuring their dignity and privacy are always maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to patients under the supervision of registered nurses, encompassing personal hygiene assistance, mealtime support, and assistance with elimination needs.
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by addressing their comfort needs, including providing meals and refreshments for both patients and relatives.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and professionalism when assisting patients and their families during end-of-life care, offering compassionate support throughout this challenging time.
- Ensure safe patient handling practices by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment as outlined in our manual handling policy.
- Maintain meticulous records of patient care activities and accurately report any observations or concerns to the nursing team.
