Job Title: Relief Security Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and flexible Relief Security Officer to provide security coverage across various locations as needed. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of premises, staff, and visitors by maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting visitors, ensuring they feel welcome and are directed to the appropriate area.
  • Respond to client concerns and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, visitors, and contractors.

Work Performance and Quality:

  • Comply with and report on all Health and Safety issues in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and review footage as necessary.
  • Control access to the premises, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to alarms and incidents, ensuring the situation is handled appropriately and reported accurately.

Quality and Standards:

  • Ensure equipment is maintained and used in accordance with manufacturer's requirements.
  • Be correctly dressed in full uniform, as required by the client.
  • Adopt a total quality approach to every aspect of your work, colleagues, and clients.

Requirements:

  • Valid SIA Licence or valid SIA training certificates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shift patterns in line with operational needs.
  • Ability to stay calm and composed under pressure.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of security protocols and procedures.
  • Familiarity with surveillance systems and other security equipment.

Working Hours:

  • 12 hour shifts.
  • Day, night, and weekend shifts.

Location: In person at various locations as needed.
