About the Role:
National Health Service Scotland (NHSScotland) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated public health consultant to join our team in Screening Oversight and Assurance Scotland (SOAS). The successful candidate will contribute to the national coordination of Scotland's six national screening programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the national coordination of Scotland's six national screening programs
- Work closely with colleagues across Health and Social Care to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions and systems
- Deliver high-quality services that help stakeholders free up resources for essential services
- Collaborate with the Screening Oversight and Assurance Scotland (SOAS) team to ensure effective screening programs
Requirements:
- Membership of the Faculty of Public Health or equivalent
- Registered on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council in Public Health with a licence to practise
- UK Public Health (Specialist) Register
- Substantial experience of working at consultant level within national screening programs
Working Arrangements:
The post is offered on a part-time basis for 6 Programmed Activities or 24 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check and provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency if applicable.
