Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 2nd Chef to join our culinary team at Emerson Grange, a stunning 85-bedroom care home. As a 2nd Chef, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality food and service to our residents, working closely with our Head Chef to create innovative and fine dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, ordering, and preparation of meals
- Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and health and safety in the kitchen
- Work collaboratively with the catering team to deliver exceptional food and service
- Contribute to the development of new menus and ideas
- Maintain accurate records of food inventory and ordering
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally as a Sous Chef or experienced Chef de Partie
- NVQ 2/3 or equivalent qualification
- Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
