We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cardiac Theatre Nurse Manager to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management and coordination of elective and emergency activity within the cardiac theatre environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, develop, and maintain safe and effective standards of care using research and evidence-based practice.
- Manage a designated team of staff, providing clinical day-to-day supervision and leadership to junior staff.
- Act as mentor and assessor, supporting the development of junior staff.
- Contribute to the smooth and efficient management of the three cardiac theatres, with planned surgery for four patients each day, five days a week.
- Collaborate with the Cardiac Theatre Nurse Manager to ensure the effective coordination of elective and emergency activity.
