About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Facilities Maintenance Officer to join our team in Scotland. As a key member of our regional team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and cost-effective facilities, property repairs, and maintenance services across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Line manage a team of maintenance surveyors, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their performance targets.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to ensure our properties are well-maintained and meet the required standards.
  • Manage contractors, ensuring they operate within contractual terms and meet performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of maintenance services.
  • Produce regular reports on contractor performance, cost, and maintenance issues to inform decision-making.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with a focus on performance management and contractor management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues.
  • Knowledge of building regulations, legislation, and current practices in the social domestic housing sector.
  • Valid UK driving license, with a willingness to drive company vehicles.
