Paraplanner Role at Ortus PSR

Ortus PSR is seeking a skilled Paraplanner to join its team of financial advisors. As a Paraplanner, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial planning process by conducting thorough research, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring the smooth implementation of financial plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth research on investment products, pension schemes, and other financial instruments to provide accurate and comprehensive information to financial advisors.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including cash flow analysis and risk assessment, to support financial planning decisions.
  • Assist in the development of financial plans based on clients' goals and objectives, ensuring that plans are tailored to meet their individual needs.
  • Liaise with financial advisors and clients to gather necessary information and clarify requirements, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards in all financial planning activities, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrable experience as a Paraplanner within a financial advisory firm, with a strong understanding of financial planning principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in conducting financial research and utilizing financial planning software, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide insightful recommendations.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, tax planning, and retirement strategies, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and team members, and to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • A diploma in financial planning or a related field is preferred, with professional certifications such as the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) or Chartered Financial Planner status being advantageous.
