Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Digestive Diseases Unit team at The London Clinic.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide specialist advice on the management of complex colorectal cases and deliver stoma care to patients across various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage specialized programs of care for patients with chronic disease, including the development of care pathways, clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide highly specialized advice concerning the care and treatment of identified groups or categories of patients/clients to the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Contribute to strategies designed to promote and improve health and prevent disease within their specific field of practice.
  • Identify resources required to meet patient needs and empower patients and their families to influence and use available services.
  • Establish and evaluate caseload and workload profiles, reporting trends or shortfalls to the Lead Colorectal Nurse.
  • Measure and benchmark local services against national guidelines and data.
  • Audit and evaluate care in relation to the specialty, encompassing clinically effective interventions.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration.
  • Master's degree (or working towards) in a relevant field or equivalent/higher postgraduate qualification.
  • Considerable post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting within digestive diseases.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and flexibly as part of a team.
  • Significant post-registration clinical experience.
