We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our Finance team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This role offers the opportunity to lead the day-to-day operations of the Finance team in a developmental capacity and provide essential management accounting services, including performance reporting and preparation of statutory accounts.

A hybrid working option is available, with the role based in a dynamic and fast-paced environment for 3 days a week minimum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Finance team's daily operations, ensuring seamless financial management and control.
  • Provide management accounting services to key divisional managers, including monthly KPIs and performance reporting, to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Prepare quarterly performance reports for the Committee, highlighting key financial trends and insights.
  • Play a key role in the production of the annual business plan process, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and liaise with auditors as required, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial information is available to support decision-making, driving business growth and success.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Finance/Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
  • Excellent customer focus with a commitment to improving customer satisfaction, delivering exceptional service.
  • Proficiency in using and manipulating complex accounting systems, with a strong understanding of financial software.
  • Experience in report writing and presenting financial information to non-financial individuals, with a focus on clear and concise communication.
  • Extensive use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, in a business environment, with a high level of proficiency.
  • Strong communication skills with a positive and adaptable outlook, able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively, and deliver to tight deadlines with attention to detail, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
